It's no secret it takes EXTREME dedication to breed, raise and train horses in the north country. From long, brutally cold winters to scorching summer heat we experience just about every extreme imaginable and usually in a very unpredictable pattern. But as a result, I think we can all agree we have some pretty hardy horses up here - paired with equally tough riders!
The Homegrown Classic Stallion Incentive was developed to recognize that grit and determination required of both the horses and the barrel racers in North Dakota and the surrounding region. It is a Stallion Incentive Side Pot held in conjunction with The Blitz every September in Bowman, ND.
